Cancellation Policy

  • Any cancellations made between 2 business days (17:00 local time) to 1 business days (17:00 local time) prior to the activity will be subject to a charge of 50% of the total amount.
  • Any cancellations made after 17:00 local time, 1 business days prior to the activity will be subject to a charge of 100% of the total amount.

An uchikake kimono is a special decorative kimono with many celebratory brocades and embroideries that is worn for weddings. The uchikake is worn like a robe and is meant to trail on the floor. Find an uchikake kimono of your choice from the many selections at the studio.

Put your belongings (except your wallet, phone and other valuables) in the locker. Get helpful assistance by the hospitable staffs as you change into the under kimono first.

The standard Kokoran Oiran plan is great for those looking for a natural look. Your natural hair will be styled to match your look! The Neo Oiran plan allows you to get the authentic geisha-style white foundation (optional) and add the special Tate Hyogo Oiran hair style for a classic Oiran look.

Dressing
Before wearing your uchikake kimono, you will be dressed in a base kimono. If you would like to show your shoulders, please request at this time. The Kokoran Oiran plan will be a komon kimono with simple patterns. The Neo Oiran plan will have a more decorative wedding kimono called the kakeshita.

Make way to the selfie photo taking area and take some memorable photos on your camera or phone! Feel free to ask the staff to take photos of you as well! Please understand that selfies cannot be taken in the photo booths.

Restrictions

  • Guests who are pregnant are not permitted to participate in this activity.
  • People 15 years old and above can participate in this activity.

Additional Notes

  • Printed photos will be put in a special album by Esperanto and given to you. Photos will be edited and mailed to you within a month after your experience. For those visiting from overseas, you will be able to receive your photos on the day of your activity.
  • You will not be needing prior reservations for more photos, CD-R with all your photos, and other options for an additional fare. Feel free to ask the staff on the day of your tour.
  • Up to 3 people will be able to have a photo shoot at once. For groups of 4 or more will need to separate into multiple groups.
  • Please understand that, for women to feel comfortable during their photo shoot, the staff will ask for gentlemen who are not taking part in the photo shoot to wait in the waiting area.
  • All outfits are standard Japanese medium to large sizes, however for people who require larger sizes, a loose fitting dressing-style will be applied for fitting purposes. People who own their own kimono outfit are welcome to bring it as well with prior notice. Please inquire in advance.
  • Please do not take photos with your own camera or smart phone inside the studio. There is a separate photo area for you to take selfies and other photos on your own device.

  • Feel free to come in any kind of attire along with make-up. Please do not wear bra-top shirts if you are doing the oiran experience.
  • Please bring your usual make-up to touch up before leaving. Inner kimono, tabi socks, make-up remover, basic make-up, towel, hair dryer will be available at the studio.
