Get dressed by a specialist who will help you stay comfortable and look your best in the kimono. Ask for helpful advice to coordinate your kimono according to your personal style and preferences!

Photo Shoot
Before heading out to the beautiful vintage streets of Kyoto, take wonderful photos inside the studio with elegant backdrops. Take as many selfies and group photos as you wish using props available for rent.

Keep your valuables in the kinchaku drawstring bag and leave your luggage at the shop while heading out to the streets of Kyoto. Enjoy taking photos at popular spots such as Kiyomizudera or Kodaiji Temple. What better way to take in the old-world charm of Japan's center of tradition?

After touring around Kyoto, change out of your kimono at the shop. Please make sure to return the kimono by 18:00.

  • 1. From Kyoto Station, go out Central Exit. Go to D2 Bus Stop and board Bus Number 206. Get off at Higashiyama Yasui and walk 3 minutes to the rental shop.
    2. From Keihan Gion Shijo Station, go out Exit 7. Go to Shijo Keihan-mae Bus Stop and board Bus Number 207. Get off at Higashiyama Yasui and walk 3 minutes to the rental shop.
    3. From Hankyu Kawaramachi Station, go out Exit 6. Go to Shijo Kawahara-mae Bus Stop and board Bus Number 207. Get off at Higashiyama Yasui and walk 3 minutes to the rental shop.

Restrictions

  • Children 6 years old and above can participate in this activity.
  • Guests who are pregnant are not permitted to participate in this activity.

Additional Notes

  • Please return the kimono before 18:00. If you go past the return time, an additional JPY 1,080 will be charged per person.
  • If there are stains or damages on the kimono as a result of your hours of rental, an additional fee may be charged. Depending on the kimono, the price will vary.
  • This activity is operated in Japanese only.

Dressing & Items to Bring

  • You do not have to bring anything since all the items required for dressing in the kimono are included in the plan. In winter, when it becomes rather cold in Kyoto, you may bring a thin T-shirt or such to wear under the kimono for extra warmth.
