Try your hand at making the famous local Kiyomizuyaki pottery at Zuikogama, which has been creating high quality pottery in Kyoto since 1771. Learn how to create your own piece of beautiful Kiyomizuyaki pottery at Zuikogama, where expert craftsmen have been producing Kyoto-style pottery since 1771. Great for visitors of all ages, the passionate instructors will help you get a feel for the heavy clay, pottery wheel and traditional painting techniques. The reasonably priced plans only take about an hour each, making this a great short break from sightseeing. The most traditional form of pottery, mold your clay by hand into your desired shape. You can choose to make a tea bowl, plate, coffee cup, beer mug or other crafts, assisted by your instructor. Duration: ~ 1 hour One pottery craft is included. You can create an additional craft for 500 JPY, or two for 1080 JPY.
