Tour this example of old Kyoto, a money exchange house from the late 1800s. In 1999 Nishijin Tondaya was designated as a cultural asset of Japan, and now is dedicated to preserving the historic customs of the women of Kyoto. After your tour of the beautiful machiya, experience a traditional Japanese tea ceremony. Don't worry if this is your first time, the knowledgeable professionals of Tondaya will take you step-by-step through this age old custom. You can enhance your tea ceremony experience by wearing a kimono, and learn how to move gracefully while wearing this gorgeous, refined piece of silk art!

- Any cancellations made between 2 business days (17:00 local time) to 1 business days (17:00 local time) prior to the activity will be subject to a charge of 50% of the total amount.
- Any cancellations made after 17:00 local time, 1 business days prior to the activity will be subject to a charge of 100% of the total amount.
