Learn and practice the traditions of Japanese samurai with the elegant yet martial kembu sword dance. Kembu, literally sword dancing, was designed and practiced by samurai to prepare themselves before battle. In the movie "The Last Samurai" you can see actors performing kembu on the day before the battle. Later, the practice changed to ensure sword work could be passed on and taught, even when the samurai class was prohibited from openly carrying swords. Join this informative and fun cultural class, and take a step to becoming a samurai!
