Description

Explore Mount Fuji and Hakone, then spend the night relaxing at a Japanese hot springs hotel. Enjoy a day of free sightseeing in Hakone before returning to Tokyo aboard the bullet train! Leave bustling Tokyo behind on this 2-day tour of Mt. Fuji and Hakone! Begin with a scenic drive through the countryside before stopping at Mt. Fuji's 5th Station, all the way up at 2,300 meters. The afternoon is filled with striking photo opportunities, combining natural beauty with Mt. Fuji as the perfect backdrop. You can even take a cable car up Mt. Komagatake for panoramic views. Spend your night at Yumoto Fujiya Hotel in a Western-style room, soaking in the natural hot spring baths. On the second day, take your time to freely explore Hakone on your own. Finally, watch the landscape fly by as you head back to Tokyo aboard the comfortable and fast Shinkansen bullet train.

  • Any cancellations made between 8 business days (18:00 local time) to 2 business days (18:00 local time) prior to the activity will be subject to a charge of 30% of the total amount.
  • Any cancellations made between 2 business days (18:00 local time) to 1 business days (18:00 local time) prior to the activity will be subject to a charge of 40% of the total amount.
  • Any cancellations made between 1 business days (18:00 local time) to 1 hours prior to the activity start time will be subject to a charge of 50% of the total amount.
  • Any cancellations made after 1 hours prior to the activity will be subject to a charge of 100% of the total amount.

Activity Detail

Restrictions

  • Participants under the age of 20 traveling alone require written consent from a parent or guardian.
  • Participants under the age of 15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  • Children (ages 0-5 years) will be able to participate for free under the following conditions. Tour: An individual seat will not be provided. Please have them sit on the lap of their parent or guardian. If there are seats available, they are welcome to use it, however they will not be getting a priority in seating. An individual meal or snack will not be provided as well.
  • Accommodations for Children (ages 0-5 years) : An extra bed or futon mat will not be provided. In the case meals are included in the accommodation, a separate meal will not be prepared. If you would like any of the above for children (ages 0-5 years), please book them as a child.
  • This tour is available to overseas visitors only. Japanese citizens may not participate unless accompanied by a visitor from overseas.
  • Rooms are Western-style with a bed.

Additional Notes

  • On Day 1, GPS-enabled audio guides are available in Chinese, Spanish, Italian, Thai, French, and Indonesian (until Sept. 30, 2020). As there are a limited number of units available, it is recommended that you request for these as early as possible. No refunds will be issued even if the audio guide is unusable due to weak signal, device issues, Wi-Fi malfunction, etc. If there are changes to the itinerary, information will not be provided in advance.
  • Vegetarian meals are available for lunch on Day 1 with advanced notice.
  • In the event that the Hakone Komagatake Ropeway is omitted from the itinerary, the return time may be later than scheduled.
  • When the road to Mount Fuji's 5th Station is closed due to snow or other reasons, the tour will go to the highest elevation point possible. No alternative destinations are planned when the tour reaches beyond the 1st station. When the tour has to turn back at the 1st station or when the Fuji Subaru Line is completely blocked, the tour will visit Fujisan World Heritage Center or Lake Kawaguchi Oishi Park. Please note that an alternative itinerary may also be omitted depending on road conditions.
  • The Lake Ashi Cruise or Hakone Komagatake Ropeway may be omitted due to traffic, weather conditions or other operational concerns. In such cases, the following alternatives may be used: Hakone-en Aquarium, Hakone Ropeway, Owakudani valley, Hakone Sightseeing Cruise (pirate ship), Narukawa Art Museum, Hakone Sekisho, Lake Kawaguchi Cruise, Lake Kawaguchi Ropeway or Itchiku Kubota Art Museum. The tour will not be cancelled or refunded in case of a change in itinerary.
  • Your tour guide will not accompany you on your return journey to Tokyo. Should you require directions to return to your hotel, please confirm them beforehand.
  • The dates and times on the bullet train ticket for Day 2 cannot be changed.
  • There will be no refunds for any tickets purchased through this package. No refunds will be made for the return tickets even if participants have a Japan Rail Pass.
  • The tour will not be cancelled or refunded even if Mt. Fuji is not fully visible due to weather conditions.
  • Please make a request at the time of booking if you prefer to get off the Shinkansen at Shinagawa or Shin-Yokohama on Day 2 (if you do not make a request you will have to get off at Tokyo Station).
  • The annual Mt. Fuji Hill Climb will be held on a weekend in June. Please be aware that the itinerary order and destinations to be visited are subject to change. Furthermore, please note that refunds will not be issued in this case, and customers will not be notified separately when the schedule has been determined.

Dressing & Items to Bring

  • Mt. Fuji's 5th station is typically 10 to 15 degrees Celsius colder than Tokyo. On tours from autumn to spring, please bring a coat and other warm clothing.
