Jokulsarlon, a glacial lagoon, started to form in the early 1920s and is getting larger each year. During your visit, see many amazing blocks of ice that have broken off of Europe’s biggest glacier, Vatnajokull. See as they float slowly towards the ocean which is only a kilometer away.

Upon your arrival, take a boat tour around the lagoon and see the icebergs from up close! Please note that the boat tours are not available from October to April due to the amount of ice on the lagoon.
