Description
Have fun interacting with owls, falcons and hawks at Hiroshima's first owl cafe, Owl de Base. Take photos with the owls and have your favorite bird perch on your arm. Learn from the staff how to interact with the owls in the cafe and then enjoy your time in the owl room. Feel free to take flash-free pictures of the owls. If you pick a favorite, you can ask the staff to assist you in having the bird perch on your arm. For an extra 300 yen, you can also feed the owls in the morning or afternoon.

Activity Detail
Restrictions
- Children under elementary school age must be accompanied by an adult. One adult is limited to bringing 2 children under elementary school age. Please refrain from bringing any toys that make noise and from wearing sandals.
- Children 2 years old and above can participate in this activity.
Additional Notes
- No flash photography.
- Freely touching the owls can make them feel stressed. Instead, customers are permitted to have one bird of their choice perch on their arm. The staff will help you.
- Large baggage and umbrellas are not permitted in the owl room. Please keep these items on the shelves next to the entrance (but keep your valuables on you). Owl de Base is not responsible for any theft or damage to your belongings, so please be sure not to bring anything extremely valuable to the cafe.
- Please refrain from speaking loudly, making loud noises or running in the cafe.
- Do not pluck the owls' feathers, ruffle them in the opposite direction or push the owls. If they are moving from left to right trying to get away, it is a sign of their frustration, so please do not chase them persistently.
- Please do not taunt the animals. Customers who mistreat the owls will not be welcome back to the cafe.
- Please do not have the owls perch on your arm without the staff's permission.
- Do not disrupt the other customers.
- Please wear clothing that you do not mind getting dirty.
- The nails and beaks of the owls are curved under, but if you come too close to their faces, they may feel threatened and harm you.
- Intoxicated customers are not permitted to enter the shop.
- The staff at the cafe speak only Japanese.
