Kitaza is very close to Exit 7 and Exit 8 of Keihan Gion Shijo Station. You can also take the #4, #5, #17 or #205 bus from Kyoto Station, then walk for 5 minutes from Shijo Kawaramachi. Please check the map attached above if you are unsure.
