Established in 1904, this church serves as an appreciation memorial hall to the achievements of the founder of Karuizawa, Alexander Croft Shaw. The Shaw Memorial Church currently stands as a place where visitors can enjoy the serenity and simple vibe of the area with its rustic wooden exterior.

Usui Pass, Miharashidai and Kumanokotai Shrine
Ascend to the highlands by the Usui Pass and arrive at Miharashidai lookout point to overlook the panoramic view of the mountains surrounding the town. After this, head to Kumanokotai Shrine to be greeted by the 3 halls of the shrine.
