Go on a panoramic cogwheel train ride and admire scenic views over the city, the lake and the snow-topped Alps. Travel uphill into the "Zurichberg" district where you can find the regal Grand Hotel Dolder.

Continue on to the university quarter and find the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH), where Albert Einstein was a student and a professor. Enjoy a walk through Old Town and spot Europe's largest clock face and Marc Chagall's famous stained glass windows.

    Departure point:
    Sihlquai Coach Parking, Limmatstrasse 4, 8005 Zurich
    Arrival by tramway
    1. Take tramway no. 4 / 6 / 13 and alight at the stop "Sihlquai / HB". The coach parking is located across the street.
    Arrival by train
    Take a train to Zurich's main train station (HB). The departure place is located behind the train station, about a 5 - 10 minute walk.
    Head over to track no. 18 which is the last street level track.
    Walk with the tracks to your left and the street to your right until the street curves. Follow the curve to the right and you will see a restaurant called "St. Gallerhof", then Hotel Walhalla and a Starbucks Coffee shop.
    The bus parking is located across the street. The meeting point is a white ticket office marked, "Best of Switzerland Tours" or "Tickets here".

    Arrival by car
    As car parks are expensive, public transport is recommended. If you still prefer to arrive by car, the following car park is very close and open 24 hours:

    Cross the coach parking towards the main train station.
